One Thousand Gifts?!

Yes I said One Thousand Gifts....know where I got the title? From an amzing book, I REALLY WANT! I just have to wait for my first pay check to get it, and from the looks of it, it won't be here tomorrow.

Anyway, at our church we're having a ladies meeting, and we are watching a study group video, based on this book.  And it was really good and convicting.  the writer Ann Voskamp was dared one day by a friend to write 1,000 gifts in her life.  Ann Voskamp had a really tragic life, she witnessed her little 3 year old sister get crushed under a huge farm truck.  So you can believe this was hard for her.  But she did! And she witnessed such joy, grace, and thankfulness from it.  And now she dares us to do the same.  I have stared 3 days ago, and I am at 200, I still have 800 more to go, but I don't care, It's fun!  I know there will be a point that it will get difficult, but  I am excited to see what God will do in my life with this!  So to top it all off, here are some things that happened to me during the meeting and week!

Awesome Moments/gifts:

• Feeling that great joy after prayer and having peace.
• Knowing that God is right there with you.
• Knowing that your loved and have seen proof every day!
• Seeing the chickens come to you when you call them.
• Having the chickens follow behind you, even when you don't know it. {Some call me the Chicken Herder}
• Having friends that totally love you, and hug you ALL THE TIME! LOVE IT!!!
• Being able to watch this video with my mom, and fellow friends and Sisters in Christ.
• Looking out for gifts in your life, because it's worth it.
• Watching the gourgeous sunsets make everything glow and on fire!
• Giving you some of my thoughts.
• Getting free coffee!!!

Awkward Moments:

• When you walk to the library and you find a quater on the road, pick it up and put it in your pocket, then realize after you pull your hand out with yellow goo all over it, you forgot to take a egg out of your pocket two days ago.
• When you watch the video about One Thousand gifts, and God points His finger at you, in the middle of everyone and you start crying...it was...interesting...
• When mom asks you to put food in for 15 min...but you think she said 50....ouch, yeah crip and plain ol' burnt!
